When your riding just keep on saying, “I can do this!” It helps.

I was so inspired by your book and the motivational story of Tillie! Your life’s story and that of Tillie’s are so similar. Especially the fact that both of you married you personal trainer/manager.

Your amazing for doing this. My name is Celeste Landis and I’m in 5th grade . I go to a school called Oakwood Intermidiate and I have the two best teachers , Mrs. Marsman and Mrs. Shroeder. I live in west Michigan in a town called Allendale , not very far from grand Rapids! I do softball and my coaches always tell me , ” if your going to steel a base ,don’t stop half way and go back, go head on.” Of course this has nothing to do with riding a bike , but just don’t do something half way go all the way. When your done ,you’ll look back and be proud of what you did. If i were you i would be proud of what I was doing.

I know that you will be in a lot of pain, but you must go on. You just have to believe in yourself, if you don’t try or think that you can’t do it then you can’t, my sister said she couldn’t do it and she couldn’t catch the football, and after that I asked her if she would believe in herself, she said yes, and she actually tried and she caught the football, believe in yourself. I think you can do it, do you think that you can do it? If so then you can do it.

Hi, you came to our school (Oakwood) in Allendale to do a video conference. I am really inspired by your book and how your going to ride all the way to Chicago! My advice is to just keep going, just think of the feeling you will have when your done with the ride. At our camp which we went to for 5th grade, I went on the mid ropes, which is really high up in the air and I hate heights, and I wanted to just give up but I thought about how great it would feel to finish it and before I knew it I was done. The feeling was great and now I get to say I did the mid ropes at camp! So don’t give and think of the feeling afterwords!

Hi, you went to my school not to long ago. I hope you have a fun journey. It seems to be pretty long for a bike ride. Your brave! Also,
    make sure you don’t crash.

THis is awesome what you are doing I can’t believe it. Hi my name is Adam I go to the school that you were at for the video conference in fact I was in the same romm with you when you did the video conference. I just wanted to say that what you are doing is inspiring so many kids. In football my coaches would say you have to do this in order to block correctly and one time we did a tackling drill were one person has to stay still and do nothing while another person tackles them and i had to goup against the biggest guy on th eteam he had to weigh at least 200lbs and when i stated to my fet were going so fast to try to keep me from falling on me. Tghen when it was done my coaches said theat had to do it again and to not be scared once you do i its over and you’ll feel goood about it. It’s the exact same thing with riding a bike so far once you do i tyou will be able to look back on it and say,” YES I DID DO IT I DIDN’T STOP!”. I hope you do good on your trip.

Hi sue! you came to my school last week in allendale. I have always wanted to be a writer because i have so many ideas, and i cannot decide the ones that i want to write. so do you have a certain way to narrow it down? also you probably get very tired during riding so i think that to encourage yourself you should just think about how much more healthy you will be after your ride is done.
